Character Mapping in Windows

Ever came across situation when you saw special characters like © or ® or µ etc.So how to create similar characters in windows.You will not find these characters in your keyboard it’s somewhere else.Now try this:Keep pressing ALT and hit 0169 from your numpad keys. i.e ALT+0169.0169 should be used from Numpad keys and not the keys given above qwerty keys.Similarly try ALT+0174 and ALT+0181.OK. So we cannot remember all the key combinations as there are so many special characters.Now come to start menu–>AllPrograms–>Accessories–>System Tools–>Character Map

Look at right bottom.You can find the keyboard shortcut.If you want you can remember the keyboard shortcut for few commonly used characters else you can always open this character map and select character you want to use.Now you know how to use special symbols not available on your keyboards
