IRCTC Ticket Refund not received

IRCTC is one of the most popular website we have in India ; not only because of the huge traffic it receives every minute but also due to dissatisfaction people face while dealing with it. Mostly, we struggle to book tickets especially during the tatkal hours when the site become non responsive due to heavy volume of traffic. However the other kind of annoyance is when passengers struggle to get their cancelled ticket refund from IRCTC. One of my friend has been battling for over one year now to get his money back from IRCTC due to cancelled train. He booked the ticket and on the day of travel , the train was cancelled. Hence, he was not able to travel that day and missed his important meeting with the family. Adding to that pain, he never received any refund from IRCTC for his cancelled ticket. He has been in conversation with several people from INDIAN RAILWAYS as well as IRCTC however no postive response from anyone as if now. I want to know Guys if you had the same problem in receiving cancelled tickets refund from IRCTC ? What you did to get your money back ? Or you have not got it yet ? Please share your suggestions here which may help my friend in getting his money back. If you can help then I can also share the PNR Number, Reference Number or any other information.
