Recently, we all came across the news regarding cricket match fixing by Pakistani players.Initially there were two three cricket players who were suspects in match fixing cases.However there are some certainities that even the third ODI between England and Pakistan was also fixed and this time whole Pakistan team is under scanner.It is believed that the bookies knew the innings score even before the match was played.It is said that the match result was not fixed however the innings score was.This incident occurs when the previous match fixing issues were still hot.There have been various allegations regarding in the past also several matches were fixed by Pakistan Cricket Team.
This incident can be regarded as the biggest Cricket shame ever.In the past, Cricket was considered as Gentleman’s game.However it is no more the same.There have been various incidents which go against the notion.Whether the Pakistani’s player are involved in such shameful acts or not , it is a secondary thing.The primary point of discussion is Why some players involve themselves in such activities ? What is the need of accepting to get involved in such low level activity ? In most countries especially in Asian countries including Pakistan , Cricket is considered as a religion and not only a sport.A child grows up playing cricket with dreams to represent his country at international level.And now when he got an opportunity how can he even think of getting oneself involved in match fixing.It is a big shock for all the cricket fans.
